Contract: Hybrid, 2 days minimum on site per week

We are now recruiting for a Data and Business Information Analyst to develop and maintain Broughton’s reporting, business intelligence and data automation capabilities. The role will transform data from multiple business systems into accurate, actionable insights, automate reporting processes, delivering a ‘single source of truth’ approach to reporting and decision-making. This role will play a key part in developing Broughton's reporting and business intelligence capabilities, helping to turn data from multiple systems into meaningful insights that support decision-making across the business.
Using Power BI, SQL and other analytical tools, you will build dashboards, automate reporting processes and improve data visibility, ensuring stakeholders have access to reliable and actionable information. Working closely with teams across the organisation, you will develop reporting solutions, maintain data quality standards and identify opportunities to improve processes through data-driven insights.
As our Data and Business Information Analyst you will:
- Build, maintain and improve business data systems, ensuring accurate and reliable information supports internal reporting and client delivery.
- Develop and manage Power BI dashboards, reports, and visualisations to provide meaningful business insights.
- Create automated reporting solutions and workflows to improve efficiency, reduce manual processes, and enhance data accuracy.
- Manage, integrate, and maintain datasets from multiple systems while ensuring strong data governance and quality standards.
- Develop SQL queries, databases, and reporting frameworks to support business intelligence and decision-making.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions and drive continuous improvements across data processes.
In order to be successful in this role you must have / be:
- Proven experience in a Data Analyst, Business Analyst or similar analytical role.
- Advanced SQL skills with experience querying and manipulating large datasets.
- Strong experience with Power BI to build dashboards, reports and data visualisation.
- Advanced Excel skills including Power Query, Pivot Tables and complex formulas.
- Experience in data modelling, data transformation and reporting automation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to interpret complex information and communicate findings effectively to a non-technical audience.
It would be great if you had:
- Experience working with CRM, ERP or Laboratory Information Systems (LIMS).
- Knowledge of Power Automate or other workflow automation tools.
