Supply Desk is working alongside a respected and supportive secondary school in Great Missenden, Buckinghamshire, who are seeking an enthusiastic Maths Teacher to join their team from September. This role is well suited to a Maths specialist who is passionate about building confidence, resilience, and strong problem‑solving skills in young people.

About the Role

  • Delivering engaging and effective Maths lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, supporting students in developing both fluency and reasoning while working towards strong GCSE outcomes.
  • Teaching Mathematics across KS3 and KS4 (GCSE).
  • Planning well-structured lessons that stretch and support learners.
  • Developing pupils' problem‑solving and numeracy skills.
  • Monitoring progress and providing clear, constructive feedback.
  • Adapting teaching approaches to meet a range of abilities.
  • Supporting exam preparation and assessment readiness.
  • Maintaining high standards of behaviour and engagement.
  • Working collaboratively within the Maths department.
  • Communicating effectively with parents, carers, and pastoral staff.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching Maths at secondary level; ECTs encouraged to apply with relevant placements.
  • Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for Mathematics.
  • Confident classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • An organised, adaptable, and proactive teaching style.
  • Availability to start in September.
  • Ability to commute to Great Missenden, Buckinghamshire.
