Bennett & Game are currently working with a leading civil and marine engineering contractor who are seeking a Marine Project Engineer to join their Reactive Works team based in Dawlish. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Civil Engineering professional looking to develop their career within marine and reactive infrastructure projects.
The successful candidate will provide engineering, technical and project coordination support across a varied portfolio of reactive civil and marine works, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with programme and budget requirements.
Position Overview- Support the delivery and management of reactive civil and marine engineering projects
- Coordinate project information between office and site teams
- Liaise with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Review drawings, specifications and technical information
- Assist in resolving technical and design issues during project delivery
- Produce sketches, drawings and engineering calculations where required
- Support planning, sequencing and procurement activities
- Attend site to carry out surveys, inspections and progress reviews
- Assist with setting out, quality checks and verification of completed works
- Support preparation of project documentation, RAMS and progress reports
- Monitor project costs, resource usage and project risks
- Promote and maintain high standards of Health & Safety compliance
- Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- Previous experience within civil engineering, infrastructure or marine construction
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Commercial awareness and problem-solving ability
- Proactive and team-focused approach
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Experience working on marine or coastal engineering projects
- Knowledge of reactive or maintenance-based project delivery
- Working towards ICE Chartership or equivalent professional accreditation
