My client, a leading provider of outsourced services to the insurance industry, is seeking a Group Reporting Accountant to join its expanding team. Reporting to the Head of Finance, this senior role plays a pivotal part in delivering high‑quality financial reporting and maintaining robust processes and controls across Lloyd’s syndicates and insurance clients both internally and externally.
The Role
- Provide a professional and accurate accounting service to clients, ensuring all deliverables are produced efficiently and in line with strict deadlines.
- Produce group consolidated management accounts and financial reports.
- Prepare statutory accounts and GAAP‑compliant reporting.
- Maintain and reconcile client ledgers.
- Prepare and process journals, recharges, and payments.
- Support regulatory returns and audit processes.
- Monitor cash flow, balances, and outstanding items.
- Ensure strong financial controls and documentation.
- Collaborate with clients, auditors, and regulators.
- Support team development, training, and process improvements.
About You
- We’re looking for someone who brings both technical expertise and strong interpersonal skills.
- Qualified accountant.
- Experience in group reporting and financial consolidation.
- Background in insurance finance / Lloyd’s environment desirable but not essential.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Confident communicator with senior stakeholder engagement experience.
- Proven ability to manage competing deadlines.
- Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with ERP/accounting systems (Sage Intacct experience advantageous).
