Spire Murrayfield Hospital are looking to recruit a Host/ Kitchen Assistant to join their fantastic and dedicated team. This is a part time position working 22.5 hours per week.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work in close liaison with the clinical staff, understanding the special needs of the hospital on a day to day basis.
  • Be responsible for the day to day maintenance of the equipment provided, checking for faults and supply shortages and reporting them to the line manager.
  • Ensure compliance with all Health and Safety at Work regulations including COSHH.
  • Work with guidance on moving and handling, as identified in corporate and local policy and discussed at mandatory training sessions.
  • Maintain quality assurance and patient confidentiality at all times.
  • Using previous waitressing / waiting experience, ensure meals and beverages are delivered to patients' rooms.
  • Respond to any ad-hoc requests from patients to ensure their comfortable stay.
  • Assist in the kitchen and Dining Room.
  • Assist the catering and housekeeping teams with day-to-day duties.

  • Previous experience in hospitality.
  • Able to work as part of a team.
  • Willing and able to complete mandatory training for COSHH, Manual Handling, Infection Control and Health & Safety in-house.
