An established and award winning professional services firm with a strong national reputation is expanding its Corporate Finance team in Cardiff. The team advises small and mid market businesses on high value transactions including acquisitions, disposals, due diligence, valuations and fundraising. Following a record breaking year advising on transactions exceeding £1bn, the firm continues to invest heavily in its people, offering structured career development, high quality clients and a genuine work/life balance.
As a Corporate Finance Manager within the Transaction Support team, you will play a key role in delivering high quality advisory work across a diverse client base. You will work closely with Partners and Directors on complex transactions, while also managing and developing junior team members.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Developing a detailed understanding of target businesses and their key value drivers
- Reviewing and analysing historical trading results, cash flow and balance sheets
- Assessing current trading performance and future projections
- Identifying and quantifying financial, commercial and operational risks
- Highlighting issues that may impact deal pricing or structure
- Producing high quality written reports within agreed timescales
- Supporting and mentoring junior members of the team
What you'll need to succeed:
- ACA or ACCA qualification
- Proven experience in Transaction Support, Deal Advisory or Corporate Finance
- Previous managerial or assistant manager experience
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify key issues from large data sets
- Excellent Excel skills, with solid working knowledge of Word and PowerPoint
- Experience using accounting software such as Sage, Xero or QuickBooks
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusted client relationships
- Ability to manage deadlines and perform well under pressure
