Join a leading construction consultancy as a Building Regulations Specialist. This is an ideal role for someone with a strong Building Control background and experience in regulations, design coordination and has knowledge of current BRPD and Higher-Risk Buildings requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Reviewing designs, technical packages and specifications to ensure compliance with Approved Documents.
- Leading or supporting Building Regulations submissions to Building Control / Approved Inspectors.
- Coordinating responses to plan checks, resolving queries and addressing non-conformances.
- Supporting Principal Designers to ensure compliance throughout the pre-construction phase.
- Assisting in planning, managing and monitoring design work against Building Regulations.
- Preparing and submitting technical documentation to Building Control.
- Managing Building Control queries and coordinating revised submissions.
Qualifications:
- Hold or working towards a building safety qualification.
- Health and safety qualification e.g. NEBOSH General or equivalent.
- Hold or working towards a professional membership e.g. CIAT, CABE, CIOB.
Experience:
- Proven experience preparing and coordinating technical design packages for Building Regulations submissions.
- Strong knowledge of Building Regulations and relevant British Standards.
- Experience liaising with Approved Inspectors and Building Control Authorities.
- Skilled in coordinating multidisciplinary teams and reviewing consultant information.
This Building Regulations Specialist role is paying up to 65,000 plus a full benefits package including car allowance, healthcare, pension and a generous holiday allowance with the option to purchase up to five additional days.
