You'll work alongside experienced engineers, gaining valuable hands-on experience across a range of manufacturing equipment and electrical infrastructure while contributing to the reliability and continuous improvement of site operations.
The Role
The purpose of this role is to maximise machinery availability through the delivery of planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and the timely resolution of breakdowns across plant, equipment, and electrical infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain strong health & safety standards with a focus on a zero-incident culture
- Diagnose and resolve electrical machine breakdowns
- Carry out electrical PPM tasks within planned schedules
- Maintain and improve site electrical systems and infrastructure
- Contribute ideas and feedback to improve operational performance
- Support continuous improvement through structured engineering practices
About You
- Apprenticeship trained with NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering
- 18th Edition qualified
- 2-3 years' experience in electrical infrastructure maintenance (distribution boards, circuits, lighting, controls)
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability
- Motivated to learn and develop new technical skills
Desirable Skills
- Basic mechanical or fabrication knowledge
- Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics
- Crane operations knowledge
- Portable appliance testing (PAT) experience
