A well-established international manufacturer and distributor is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join its growing team. The business operates across multiple sites, including manufacturing and distribution facilities in the UK and overseas.

Job Overview

The UK manufacturing site operates a wide range of machinery and equipment, including mixers, mills, high-speed packing lines, blowing machines, laminators, and paper converting equipment. Due to increased activity, the company is looking for a skilled and proactive Maintenance Engineer to support ongoing operations. This role is key to ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and safety of production equipment while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support installation of new equipment (mechanical assembly, compressed air systems, and racking)
  • Carry out routine maintenance and coordinate repairs
  • Reduce equipment downtime and improve reliability and safety
  • Improve production output and implement preventative maintenance plans
  • Work collaboratively with the engineering team to support operational goals

Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven experience in maintenance engineering within a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Experience working with filling and mixing equipment
  • Strong fault-finding skills, including PLC/HMI systems
  • Ability to manage workload independently
  • Good understanding of Health & Safety regulations
  • Electrical qualifications and a forklift licence are advantageous
  • Experience with maintenance planning and documentation is desirable

Additional Information

  • Full-time, onsite role (40 hours per week)
  • Candidates must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the site

  • Annual leave starts at 21 days plus bank holidays, increasing with service up to 25 days
