Salary: Up to 36,000 basic + OTE 48,000 (Efficiency Bonus)

Location: Birmingham

Hours: Monday-Friday 08:00-17:30 Saturday 08:00-12:30 1 in 4

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Vehicle Technician / Automotive Technician / Car Mechanic to join our busy dealership in Birmingham. This role is perfect for skilled technicians & mechanics who want to work on a wide range of vehicles, from routine servicing to complex repairs. You'll be part of a professional team that values technical expertise, efficiency, and excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct vehicle servicing, MOT preparation, maintenance, and repairs
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults accurately using diagnostic tools
  • Perform engine, transmission, brakes, and suspension repairs
  • Maintain detailed service records and ensure compliance with dealership standards
  • Work collaboratively with workshop colleagues and communicate effectively with customers

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (essential)
  • Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician, Automotive Technician, or Car Mechanic
  • Full UK manual driving licence
  • Own tools and toolbox
  • Strong technical knowledge in automotive diagnostics, vehicle maintenance, and repairs
  • Excellent communication and team-working skills

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with dealer-level diagnostics and software
  • Knowledge of hybrid and electric vehicles
  • Ability to work efficiently under time pressures
