Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, you will deliver the accounts and have the opportunity to improve the department through enhanced systems and processes. You will work closely with the senior management team and will have a direct impact on the business. This role is suited for a newly qualified accountant with strong accounts preparation experience. You will work with a fantastic mentor while supporting a business experiencing significant growth.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly management accounts, including in-depth commentary and variance analysis for board reporting.
  • Develop and deliver Key Performance Indicator reporting packs.
  • Prepare statutory accounts.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial forecasts and budgets.
  • Provide cost and activity analysis.
  • Support payroll.
  • Support the development of company systems and staff training.

Qualifications

  • This role is ideally suited to a qualified accountant.
  • A minimum of 3‑4 years of relevant experience.
  • ACA, CIMA or ACCA qualification.
  • Excellent IT skills, including Excel (VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables).
  • Experience with accounting software packages, e.g., Sage or Xero.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures.
  • High attention to detail and strong accuracy in data entry and financial reporting.
