This public sector organisation based in North West London are looking for an Asbestos Safety Manager to join the team on an ongoing contract basis. This is a pivotal role ensuring residents' safety and regulatory compliance under the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 and other health and safety legislation. You will provide expert advice, operational oversight, and drive continuous improvement in asbestos management and wider compliance.
Your new role
- Act as the competent person for asbestos management under CAR 2012.
- Develop and implement the Council's Asbestos Management Plan and policy.
- Oversee asbestos surveys, re-inspections, and remedial works.
- Maintain the asbestos register and ensure accurate compliance records.
- Manage contractors, ensuring adherence to method statements and KPIs.
- Lead audits, incident investigations, and compliance reporting.
- Engage with residents and stakeholders to ensure clear communication.
What you'll need to succeed
- Proven experience managing asbestos in social housing.
- BOHS P405 qualification essential.
- NEBOSH General Certificate desirable.
