Talentmark are recruiting for an Analytical Development Scientist to join a company in the animal health and pharmaceutical industry on a contract basis for 12 months. This role is fully site-based in Speke, Liverpool. Salary 15.38 to 20.51 per hour, depending upon experience.

Analytical Development Scientist Role

  • Plan, execute and evaluate laboratory studies through hands‑on experimentation.
  • Develop new analytical methods to support current microbial and cell culture projects.
  • Provide technical expertise and leadership for the delivery of the analytical agenda.
  • Provide regular communications for project progress to senior technical staff and key stakeholders.
  • Responsible for ensuring and driving compliance in all safety and quality aspects.

Your Background

  • Hold a relevant scientific degree or have equivalent working experience.
  • Experience in developing new analytical methods such as HPLC, UV, ELISA & CE‑SDS.
  • Ability to operate according to Good Research Practices and produce technical documentation to high standards.
  • Ability to lead, plan and execute method validations or fit‑for‑purpose studies.
  • Experience/ability to interpret structural analytical data, e.g. mass spec knowledge or cell‑based assay data, would be an advantage.
