The Opportunity

We are recruiting for a skilled and experienced Landbase Technician to join an established agricultural machinery dealership. This is a hands‑on, highly fulfilling role working with a variety of premium agricultural equipment, both in the workshop and on customer sites. With strong overtime availability and a clear training pathway to certified Technician status, total earnings can realistically reach £58,000+ for the right person.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, service and repair agricultural machinery in‑house and on customer sites
  • Pre‑delivery inspection and set‑up on new and used equipment
  • Complete job‑related admin accurately (job cards, DTAC, timesheets, reports)
  • Maintain a tidy, organised and safe workstation in line with company H&S
  • Undertake manufacturer training to achieve and maintain certified Technician status
  • Mentor and support apprentices
  • Work confidently with the latest industry technologies and diagnostic tools
  • Be available to work overtime as workload demands

About You

  • Minimum 5 years' hands‑on experience in agricultural machinery service & repair
  • Time‑served / qualified with strong mechanical, hydraulic and electrical knowledge
  • Ideally familiar with John Deere (or comparable premium brands)
  • Confident with modern diagnostic systems and IT‑based reporting
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Full UK driving licence
