This is a development role in the best sense. I’m looking for someone with real curiosity, someone who doesn’t guess, who wants to understand properly before responding, and who can take technical detail from multiple places and turn it into something simple and accurate for the field. You don’t need to be a Brother expert on day one. What matters more is pace of learning, good judgement, self-initiative, and the ability to explain the truth clearly.

In my own experience, the “At your side” culture at Brother is real. Your voice is respected, ownership is welcomed, and high performing people are recognised. You’ll be joining a small, experienced, and supportive Product Strategy team that works closely together, challenges each other constructively, and takes pride in doing things properly. This role will require occasional travel, and you’ll be encouraged to enjoy the locations and local culture, with support from colleagues across Europe and beyond.

If you want to be mentored, stretched, and given proper ownership as you grow, in a company and team that genuinely cares about its people, that’s the opportunity on offer.

We are looking for a Product Specialist to support the development, launch and lifecycle management of our hardware and software solutions across Europe. By working closely with the European sales office, product strategy colleagues and global stakeholders, you will play a key role in bringing market insight and technical expertise. The role supports product strategy execution, ensures accuracy of product materials and training content alongside enabling effective communication across Europe.

Key Skills
  • Technical product and solutions expertise
  • Market insight, research, and analysis
  • Cross-functional stakeholder collaboration and influence
  • Clear technical communication and translation
  • Product content creation and training delivery
Role Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with European offices, customers and internal sales and marketing teams to gather market insight and support the development and execution of the product and solutions strategy.
  • Contribute insight to the development and clear articulation of Brother’s future product, software and solutions value proposition.
  • Use structured market intelligence to support discussions and alignment on product and solution requirements with Sales Offices, Brother Industries Limited (BIL), and third-party software partners.
  • Act as a technical point of contact for European offices and BIL, providing guidance on new product specifications, features, and competitor comparisons.
  • Own the publication and maintenance of product materials across BIE platforms (e.g. SharePoint), ensuring content is accurate and up to date.
  • Work closely with marketing communications to ensure product-related assets are technically accurate and correctly represented.
  • Create, review, and support the delivery of high quality product training materials and sessions for European colleagues.
  • Participate in cross-functional systems and processes (e.g. SST), ensuring effective operation and positive business impact.
  • Support international engagement and training activities, including occasional travel to European offices, Japan, and the USA.
About You
  • Recognised technical industry qualification or relevant equivalent experience in a technical, product-related role.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and confidently.
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences, including colleagues whose first language is not English.
  • Experience gathering, interpreting and analysing market data to support portfolio development and informed product decision making.
What’s on Offer
  • As well as a competitive salary, BIE offer a range of benefits:
  • Hybrid & Flexible Working options
  • 25 days holiday + bank holidays (plus option to buy 5 extra)
  • Industry-leading pension (up to 10% company contribution)
  • Life Assurance & health cash plan
  • Training & career development opportunities
