The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Receivable Assistant to join a growing finance team supporting a dynamic, fast-paced business.

Working as part of a supportive finance function, you'll play a key role in ensuring the accuracy of financial records, maintaining strong financial controls and supporting the day-to-day operation of the accounts function.
The Role
Key responsibilities will include
- Reconciling daily cash and card receipts against internal reporting systems.
- Maintaining accurate cashbook records and completing regular bank reconciliations.
- Raising sales invoices and allocating customer receipts.
- Managing outstanding debt, chasing overdue payments and maintaining strong customer relationships.
- Processing and recording cash transactions where required.
- Completing balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining accurate financial records.
- Supporting colleagues across the wider finance team during busy periods.
- Assisting with continuous improvements to finance processes and controls.
- Ensuring documentation is maintained accurately and in line with company procedures.
About You
The successful candidate will demonstrate
- Previous experience within an Accounts Assistant, Finance Assistant or transactional finance position.
- Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Good communication skills and confidence building relationships across the business.
- A proactive approach with a willingness to learn and improve existing processes.
- Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel, with experience of accounting software advantageous but not essential.
