Broster Buchanan have been engaged by an exciting, PE backed sports agency based in London to help them find their next Senior Commercial Finance Business Partner. They work at the heart of the sports industry, partnering with some of the biggest names in European football and global sports organisations. Following a recent restructure, they are looking for a commercially focussed business partner to help drive the business forward alongside overseeing its day to day finance operations.
The Role: You’ll be reporting directly to the C-Suite, acting as the key commercial finance lead across the business. It’s a hands-on, strategic role with plenty of variety – covering everything from cost and revenue planning to financial contract negotiations, cash flow forecasting, and supporting commercial rights strategy alongside the Head of Media Sales. You’ll also be the go-to person for internal stakeholders – from the sales and production teams to the C-suite and Group Finance – so strong communication and stakeholder management are a must.
What they’re looking for:
- 2:1 or above in Finance, Business, or Commercial Sports
- ACCA / ACA or equivalent (preferred)
- 3+ years’ experience in FP&A, ideally in commercial sports or media rights
- Strong understanding of cash flow forecasting
- Confidence working across multiple internal teams and senior stakeholders
- KPI-driven, with a strong focus on EBITDA and margin optimisation
- Experience working with or within sports leagues, clubs or rightsholders a big benefit
- A strong interest in European football and the global sports landscape
