Job Description
Our client is looking to recruit a HR Advisor to join their team. This is an exciting role where you can take ownership and have a true generalist role. This role provides practical HR advice, manages routine employee relations matters and takes ownership of accurate, timely payroll delivery.
The role supports ensuring core people processes are delivered efficiently, compliantly and with clear escalation where required. Working closely with the HR Administrator and reporting directly to the Head of HR.
This is a hands on HR role and a true generalist HR position, working for a culturally great business, who put their people first.
Key Deliverables:
- Providing advice and guidance on employment law, HR policies, procedures and best practice
- Managing attendance and absence cases, including short and long-term absence, return-to-work processes and attendance reviews
- Leading employee relations cases from start to finish, including disciplinary, grievance and performance management processes
- Supporting managers with people matters and organisational change initiatives
- Supporting talent development, succession planning and employee engagement initiatives
- Maintaining accurate employee records and ensuring data integrity across HR systems
- Producing HR reports, KPIs and people metrics to support business decision-making
- Supporting HR projects and contributing to the development and implementation of people policies and procedures
- Working closely with Payroll and Finance to ensure accurate employee information and system updates
- Supporting ongoing HRIS and time and attendance system improvements
- Contributing to the delivery of the wider People Strategy and continuous improvement initiatives
The right candidate:
- Minimum of CIPD Level 3 qualified or working towards.
- Previous experience in an HR Advisor or equivalent generalist role.
- Good knowledge of UK employment law.
- Experience managing employee relations cases.
- Experience advising managers.
- Strong organisational skills.
- Excellent written communication.
- Ability to prioritise a varied workload.
- Comfortable working independently.
