Group Financial Controller

I’m working with a growing business in Northampton that is looking to bring a Group Financial Controller into its finance team.
Reporting closely into the CFO, this is a senior position offering the opportunity to take ownership of group reporting and financial controls, improve processes and systems, and play a key role in supporting the business as it continues to grow.
The role will involve:
- Overseeing group financial reporting, month-end close and management accounts
- Managing consolidations, statutory reporting, IFRS compliance and the year-end audit
- Strengthening financial controls, balance sheet reconciliations and cashflow forecasting
- Identifying opportunities to improve finance systems, reporting and automation
- Providing meaningful financial insight to the CFO, senior leadership team and investors
- Supporting acquisitions, integrations and wider business improvement projects
- Leading and developing the finance team, driving accountability and continuous improvement
They're looking for someone with:
- An ACA qualification, ideally with a top 10 practice background
- Strong post-qualified experience in a Group Financial Controller, Head of Reporting or similar role.
- Excellent technical accounting knowledge, particularly around IFRS and consolidations
- Experience working within a complex, multi-entity organisation
- A proactive approach to improving systems, processes and financial controls
- The ability to combine technical expertise with commercial insight and strong leadership
