I’m working with a growing, multi-site business in Northampton who are looking to appoint an FP&A Analyst into their Commercial Finance team. This is a broad role offering exposure across FP&A, commercial analysis, strategic modelling and M&A. It would suit someone looking to develop their career within a commercially focused finance environment and take on greater exposure to senior stakeholders and strategic decision-making.
You’ll work closely with senior Finance leadership, Finance Business Partners and the wider business, providing analysis and insight to support financial planning and business performance.
- Leading and coordinating budgets, forecasts and long-term financial plans
- Analysing performance against budget, forecast and prior year
- Preparing monthly Board reporting and providing clear commercial commentary
- Building financial models, scenarios and sensitivity analysis
- Supporting strategic planning and modelling across the business
- Working closely with the M&A team on acquisitions and financial due diligence
- Supporting post-acquisition analysis and incorporating acquisitions into forecasts
- Developing and improving management reporting and financial models
- Using Excel and data visualisation tools to turn financial information into meaningful commercial insight
- Identifying risks, opportunities and key drivers within the financial outlook
We’re looking for someone with experience within FP&A, Commercial Finance, Corporate Finance or a similar analytical environment.
- Strong financial modelling and analytical skills
- Advanced Excel capability
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting and financial planning
- The ability to analyse complex information and turn it into clear commercial insight
