We're partnering with a well-established business in Milton Keynes to recruit a Finance Assistant on a 6-month FTC. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong transactional finance experience who enjoys working in a varied role and takes pride in accuracy and attention to detail.
Key responsibilities:
- Processing Accounts Payable invoices and supplier payments
- Raising and processing credit notes
- Performing account reconciliations
- Applying double-entry bookkeeping principles accurately
- Managing the finance inbox and ensuring queries are resolved promptly
- Processing ad-hoc payments and supporting wider finance administration
- Assisting with finance projects and process improvements
- Supporting the finance team with reporting and general administrative duties
Key requirements:
- Previous experience in a Finance Assistant, Accounts Assistant or Finance Administrator role
- Solid understanding of double-entry bookkeeping (essential)
- Experience with Accounts Payable, reconciliations and credit notes
- Strong Excel skills and confidence using accounting systems
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
