The Opportunity
We are seeking a high-caliber Head of Group Reporting to join a fast-paced, private equity-backed global consultancy. This is a critical leadership role responsible for the integrity, accuracy, and strategic delivery of financial information across 40 jurisdictions. Operating in a PE environment requires a unique blend of technical excellence and commercial agility. You will be the "bridge" between complex local accounting and high-level board reporting, ensuring the Group FD and investors have the visibility needed to drive growth and exit readiness.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Control & Consolidation
- Lead the month-end and year-end consolidation process for 40+ global entities, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Manage the delivery of the Group’s monthly management accounts, providing insightful variance analysis and KPI tracking for the Board.
- Act as the primary lead for the annual external audit, managing relationships with auditors across all regions.
- Technical Accounting & Compliance
- Serve as the Group’s subject matter expert on IFRS and local GAAP requirements.
- Navigate complex technical areas common in PE environments, such as revenue recognition for long-term consultancy contracts, M&A accounting, and debt facility compliance.
- Maintain and update Group accounting policies to ensure consistency across international hubs.
- Oracle Systems Leadership
- Act as the functional owner of Oracle for the finance team, ensuring the system is optimized for multi-currency consolidations and automated reporting.
- Drive continuous improvement in Oracle workflows to reduce manual intervention and shorten the month-end close cycle.
- Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing central finance team (Technical and Management Accounting).
- Partner with regional controllers to ensure alignment and data integrity.
- Provide the Group FD and PE investors with ad-hoc financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
The Successful Candidate
Essential Experience
- PE-Backed Environment: You must have experience working within a Private Equity-backed business, understanding the rigor, pace, and reporting requirements (debt covenants, investor packs, etc.) involved.
- Oracle Systems: Hands-on experience with Oracle (Oracle Fusion/Cloud preferred) is a non-negotiable requirement. You must be comfortable leveraging the system for complex global reporting.
- Global Complexity: Proven track record of managing consolidations across multiple jurisdictions and currencies (ideally 20+ countries).
- Professional Qualification: ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified (or equivalent).
Technical & Soft Skills
- Deep technical knowledge of IFRS and multi-currency accounting.
- Exceptional communication skills—ability to translate complex financial data into a narrative for non-finance stakeholders.
- A "proactive" mindset; you thrive in an environment where you are expected to build processes, not just follow them.
