Our client is a leading and high profile business in South Tyneside, seeking to recruit a Finance Business Partner to strengthen the finance function. The role is site based for probation period with an optional work from home day thereafter. Reporting to the Financial Controller, the person will play a key role in driving commercial performance, supporting strategic decision-making, and providing broader financial insights.
Providing a bridge between finance and operational management, your contribution will guide and enhance the performance of key business functions. At a detailed level, responsibilities will include:
- Financial Planning & Analysis: Assisting the Financial Controller in the budgeting and financial planning processes. Building and enhancing forecasting models, business plans enabling data driven decision making. Detailed analysis of income streams, profitability, and cash flow drivers to provide actionable insights.
- Financial Reporting: Assist with the production of monthly management accounts. Ensure the provision of accurate, timely and insightful management information. Monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting packages for internal and external stakeholders.
- Financial Support: Partner cross-functionally ensuring financial goals are fully aligned with broader business objectives. Help identify cost-saving opportunities. Apply advanced analytical expertise to interpret financial data and reports.
Potential candidates should meet a number of the following criteria:
- Qualified Accountant (ACCA / CIMA) or well on the way to qualification.
- Experience in a FBP or FP&A role.
- Strong commercial and analytical skills.
- Advanced Excel & financial modelling skills.
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- A hands-on team player.
Basic salary is likely to be in the £50,000 to £55,000 range plus benefits.
