The Opportunity
Reporting into the Finance Director and managing a small team, you'll take ownership of financial reporting, audit, controls, budgeting and forecasting, whilst overseeing a small finance team, including payroll.
You’ll be a visible leader across the organisation, providing financial insight, challenge and support to help drive informed decision-making and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the production of monthly management accounts and financial reporting.
- Own budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial planning processes.
- Manage year-end close, statutory accounts and external audit relationships.
- Ensure robust financial controls, governance and compliance frameworks are maintained.
- Oversee payroll operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance and effective controls.
- Lead, develop and mentor a small finance team.
- Drive finance transformation, systems improvements and process efficiencies.
- Partner with senior stakeholders to improve financial performance and support strategic decision-making.
- Deliver meaningful financial insight that helps maximise organisational impact.
About You
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.
- Demonstrable people leadership experience required (121's, appraisals etc)
- Strong financial reporting and technical accounting experience.
- Proven experience managing audits, budgets and forecasting cycles.
- Previous leadership experience within a finance function.
- Experience overseeing payroll and finance operations.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A proactive leader who enjoys improving processes and developing people.
- Passionate about working within a purpose-driven environment.
