Broster Buchanan are delighted to have been retained by a Milton Keynes based engineering organisation to recruit a Financial Accountant, on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Finance Director, the Financial Accountant will be a key figure in this small finance function, so their role will be broad and offer opportunity for further experience growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and deliver monthly reporting requirements and submission to the Shareholders.
  • Manage balance sheet reconciliations, providing detailed analysis and commentary.
  • Manage fixed assets, inventory and project WIP (work in progress).
  • Set and maintain robust internal controls.
  • Identifying process improvements and implementing best practices.
  • Spearhead cash flow management.
  • Own the UK VAT return process and oversee various tax compliance matters.
  • Support statutory audit processes and preparation of annual accounts.

The successful Candidate will be a Qualified accountant ACA/ACCA/CIMA with demonstrable post-qualification experience in a similar role. They will possess strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP and a proven track record in process improvement and implementing robust financial controls. Candidates will possess exceptional stakeholder management with the ability to influence at all levels, but a proactive problem-solver with exceptional attention to detail, and have experience with ERP systems (SAP) and advanced Excel skills.

Our Client is offering a Salary of £50,000 - £60,000. Hybrid Working (3 Days in MK Office & 2 Days WFH).
