The Director of Finance (Shared Services) is a newly created role, working for a multi-site retail business whose turnover is in excess of £1 billion. Reporting to the Group CFO, this exciting leadership opportunity will be instrumental in driving transformation, enhancing financial reporting, and contributing to the ongoing success of the business during a period of exciting change.
The role is critical to improving the day-to-day operations of the central finance shared service centre, while ensuring effective collaboration with the rest of the group finance team and wider business. The Finance Director will be responsible for optimising the performance of the shared service centre, driving process improvements, implementing automation and ensuring the delivery of a high-quality service.
As a qualified accountant, the candidate will possess first-class financial control and reporting experience. Of equal importance, you will be able to demonstrate extensive experience in finance transformation and shared service centre leadership (accounting) within a fast-moving, complex multi-site business. You will possess excellent strategic management, communication and team leadership skills, with a track record of building and enhancing high-performing teams.
