Are you an experienced finance professional looking for a role where your work genuinely makes a difference?
We're partnering with a highly respected Milton Keynes charity that provides vital support to vulnerable individuals across the local community.
As they enter a busy and exciting period, they are seeking a Finance & Administration Manager to join them on an immediate-start basis for an initial three-month contract, with the potential for the role to become permanent.
This is a broad, hands-on accounts position sitting at the heart of the organisation.
You'll work closely with Trustees, volunteers and operational teams, taking ownership of the charity's finance function whilst supporting wider administration and day-to-day operations.
- What You'll Be Doing
- Managing day-to-day finance activities, including uploading and processing invoices, reconciliations, supplier payments and expense processes
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting and board reporting
- Overseeing donations, Gift Aid, grant income and fund reporting
- Maintaining accurate accounting records within Xero
- Supporting fundraising, volunteer and donor administration
- Coordinating suppliers, facilities and general office operations
- Preparing board papers and taking minutes at monthly trustee meetings
What we're looking for
- Previous experience within a finance and administration role
- Strong accounting knowledge and attention to detail
- Experience using finance systems, ideally Xero (Desirable)
- A proactive, hands-on approach and willingness to get involved across the organisation
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Accounting qualification or part-qualification desirable (AAT, ACCA, CIMA)
