We're looking for an experienced IT Software Delivery Lead to join a major retail transformation programme, playing a key role in delivering a new Ecommerce platform into production.

Reporting into the Programme Director, you'll lead the delivery of complex software platform change, coordinating multiple technical workstreams to ensure successful production releases. You'll bring experience delivering large-scale technology transformation programmes, particularly involving the replacement of legacy platforms, and be comfortable working across Engineering, Architecture, DevOps, QA, Product and Business teams.

What you'll be doing

  • Reporting to the Programme Director and leading the delivery of software platform change.
  • Playing a key role in delivering the Ecommerce platform into production.
  • Managing end-to-end software delivery across multiple technical workstreams.
  • Driving delivery governance, RAID management and executive reporting.
  • Leading release planning, deployment, cutover and rollback activities.
  • Working closely with Engineering, Architecture, DevOps, QA and third-party suppliers.
  • Identifying and managing delivery risks, dependencies and issues.
  • Facilitating cross-functional planning and stakeholder meetings.
  • Supporting production releases, hypercare and transition into BAU.

What we're looking for

  • Proven experience as an IT Software Delivery Lead, Technical Delivery Manager, Technical Programme Manager or similar.
  • Experience delivering large-scale software and Ecommerce platform implementations within retail.
  • Strong background in software platform change, including replacing or migrating legacy platforms.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with experience reporting to Programme Directors and senior leadership.
  • Strong understanding of software delivery, release management and production deployments.
  • Experience working across Agile software delivery environments with multiple technical teams.
