Reporting to the Corporate Services Director, the post holder has responsibility for professional leadership and improvement strategies in the areas of Risk Management. The incumbent will be a subject matter expert providing proactive, specialist advice and guidance in relation to all aspects of risk management and will have responsibility for overseeing and delivering the Risk Strategy for the organization whilst developing and managing the risk management framework.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide visible and effective leadership for the organization wide delivery of the Risk Strategy and the Risk Management Framework, with a focus on developing and embedding risk maturity.
- To develop and deliver a culture of continuous improvement in risk management.
- Promote the risk management strategy and plans to build understanding of, support for, and action in embedding risk management as a means of improving the governance, performance and decision making across the organization.
- Provide the required assurances to the Board and Executive Directors that risk management is fit for purpose; that it is embedded in the organization and that risk is managed effectively.
