Behind every inspiring classroom moment is a finance team making sure the numbers add up. We're looking for an experienced Senior Finance Manager who believes education finance is about more than just balancing books – it's about ensuring educators are well equipped and well resourced to focus on the education of their pupils.
The Opportunity
Join a busy multi-academy trust to support the finance team and the CFO through a period of transition. We need someone who gets genuinely excited about using their financial expertise to support young people's futures. Think less corporate boardroom, more making a real difference (with the occasional school concert thrown in).

- Preparing to be audit-ready for November
- A key focus on managing Capital and Estates budgets
- Being the steady hand that keeps everything ticking over brilliantly
What you'll need to offer
- Accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or QBE with previous experience from within the schools / MAT sector

- The ability to translate "finance speak" into "human speak" for non-finance colleagues
- Availability for 2 days per week - aiming for a start date in early November
The Practical Bits
- Office-based role (Thankfully post covid schools are back to being in person and so face-to-face collaboration across the team is key!) - so you'll need to be based within the West/South Yorkshire area for it to be practical.
- 2 days per week, pattern to be agreed
- Initial 3-month contract (with potential to extend)
- Open to daily rate or fixed-term contract – let's talk about what you bring to the table in terms of experience and we can make sure the rate and terms are right for you!
- Start ASAP - likely early November.
To Apply: Send us your CV or get in touch if you have any specific questions. As a role based in a school, there is a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. An enhanced DBS check will be required for this position.
