Broster Buchanan are currently recruiting for an Accountant to be based in Peterborough on a hybrid basis (3 days office). This role is a 14 month contract
Role Responsibilities;
You will work within the Finance team, supporting key financial processes, reporting, and analysis. You will help ensure the smooth operation of our marketing costs, revenue streams, and brand extensions, while maintaining a strong focus on accuracy, efficiency, and collaboration with stakeholders across the business.

- Complete monthly reporting, reconciling actual spend and revenues while identifying and communicating variances.
- Prepare weekly submissions, reporting, and analysis of marketing costs, revenue, and brand extensions.
- Manage GRNI balance sheet accounts, investigating balances and resolving blocked/parked items.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and provide monthly commentary.
- Monitor subscription billing exception reports and fraud reporting, flagging issues immediately.
- Ensure marketing trackers align with SAP through weekly checks and address discrepancies.
- Collaborate with the Sales & Marketing team
- Liaise with the Accounts Payable department to resolve payment and invoice queries.
- Approve daily payment runs and produce sundry sales invoices for brand extensions.
- Actively studying for a professional accounting qualification (ACCA or CIMA) with relevant experience.
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills
- Ability to manage complex reporting processes and analyse large, incomplete datasets, presenting trends and conclusions to non-finance stakeholders.
- Proactive in identifying opportunities for improvement, simplification, and efficiency.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to engage across a wide range of stakeholders, including Finance Directors.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and focus on key areas.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
