I am urgently seeking a skilled Payroll Officer
Due to increasing demands, my client requires an experienced Payroll Officer to start ASAP. This is a critical role ensuring all of my client's valued employees are paid accurately and on time.
About the Role:
As Payroll Officer, you'll be responsible for the end-to-end payroll process for all employees for this substantial not-for-profit organisation. Your meticulous attention to detail will ensure precise salary payments while maintaining strict compliance with all relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process complete payroll cycle for all employees, ensuring 100% accuracy and timeliness
- Maintain and update payroll records via the payroll system
- Calculate and process statutory deductions (taxes, NI, and other contributions)
- Generate regular payroll reports and distribute pay information to managers
- Respond to and resolve payroll queries quickly and effectively
- Collaborate with Operational colleagues to improve payroll processes
- Stay current with the latest payroll legislation and regulations
- Proven experience in end-to-end payroll processing with various in-house systems
- Strong Microsoft Office 365 skills (particularly Excel, Word, and Teams)
- Experience providing payroll advice to line managers
- Process mapping skills and ability to document workflows
- Systems thinking approach to complex problem-solving
- Excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize effectively
