We are delighted to be supporting a Head of Finance role for a tech organisation, the Head of Finance will be based remotely. As Head of Finance, reporting into the CEO, you will play a critical role in supporting the company through its transformation phase, ensuring financial stability while enabling scalable growth. You will manage financial reporting, controls, and compliance whilst partnering the leadership team to provide decision making support. Your expertise in financial planning, risk management, and operational efficiency will be key in shaping a finance function that supports long-term business objectives. The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record in financial leadership within a SaaS and multinational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial strategy, budgeting and forecasting to guide the company’s financial decisions and performance.
- Oversee the management of all financial operations, including but not limited to budgets, forecasts, cash flow, investment, and capital structure.
- Provide decision support analysis to the leadership team.
- Ensure compliance with statutory law and financial regulations across different jurisdictions, particularly in the UK and Germany.
- Work closely with external accountants in both the UK and Germany to prepare accurate and timely financial reports and tax filings.
- Supervise an internal accountant, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of all financial information.
- Automate financial processes and review the use of systems to enhance efficiency.
- Provide input into legal matters, liaising with external lawyers where necessary.
- Manage the share scheme.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, operational excellence, and proactive risk management.
You will have:
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, CIMA, ACCA, CPA).
- Strong understanding of SaaS metrics.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in financial management with exposure to a multi-currency environment.
- Strong understanding of financial regulations and reporting requirements in the UK and Germany.
- Exceptional communication and influencing skills.
- Proficiency in German is an advantage.
