If you're a qualified finance professional who wants their work to actually mean something, read on. We're looking for a Finance Business Partner to join a well-established Yorkshire-based charity making a genuine difference in people's lives. This isn't about squeezing more profit from the bottom line – it's about ensuring sustainable finances so they can continue providing life-changing support to vulnerable people.
What you'll actually be doing:
- Collaborate with operational leaders across the charity to provide financial expertise that drives strategic priorities.
- Lead on financial sustainability projects that have real impact.
- Support directors and managers with budget management and financial analysis.
- Implement new systems that make everyone's lives easier.
- Coach non-finance people to understand the numbers that matter.
- Maintain the kind of financial controls that let everyone sleep at night.
You'll have two Assistant Accountants reporting to you, so there's an opportunity to develop your leadership skills while making a meaningful contribution.
You'll thrive here if you:
- Have an ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualification (or are actively working toward it).
- Bring significant finance experience including management and financial accounting.
- Can translate complex financial concepts into language that makes sense to non-finance people.
- Are passionate about service improvement and building relationships.
- Want to apply your financial expertise to support a charity with heart and purpose.
- Value people-centred leadership and emotional intelligence.
As you'll be covering a broad geographical area (across Yorkshire) you'll need access to a car and get to remote locations as needed.
About the charity:
This isn't a faceless corporation – it's a caring organisation with clear values that guide everything they do where they keep people at the centre of decision-making. They're committed to extraordinary outcomes for the people they support, and they need exceptional finance professionals to help make that happen.
What's in it for you?
Beyond the satisfaction of putting your financial skills to work for a worthy cause, you'll join a charity that truly values wellbeing and professional development. You'll be part of a supportive finance team in a role where you can see the direct impact of your work on the lives of vulnerable people.
If you're ready to use your finance expertise to make a genuine difference rather than just increasing shareholder value, we'd love to hear from you. Apply now or contact Lucy Rider at Broster Buchanan to learn more.
