Responsibilities
- Ensure the efficient and timely supply of components and smooth flow of materials—both inbound and outbound—to meet customer requirements.
- Develop and maintain accurate despatch plans to meet customer delivery schedules.
- Plan production orders based on customer call‑offs, assessing feasibility and resolving conflicts through direct negotiation.
- Take full ownership of the production plan and ensure plan adherence.
- Escalate supply issues promptly—missed targets, stock drops, customer shortfalls, etc.
- Analyze demand forecasts and liaise directly with customers.
- Monitor and manage stock levels, accuracy, and resolve variances.
- Input and update customer schedules in the system within 24 hours of receipt.
- Navigate and manage customer portals and systems to avoid disruption to dispatch or production.
- Resolve system errors (e.g., COGI) to ensure accurate data and material flow.
- Manage material changes linked to engineering modifications (GECOS), minimizing obsolete stock.
- Maintain and update master data in SAP regularly.
- Track, report, and drive logistics KPIs.
- Contribute to continuous improvement within the logistics value stream.
- Coordinate premium freight bookings and follow escalation and approval processes.
Qualifications
- Comply with all company policies and values, including health & safety, quality, code of conduct, and environmental practices.
- HNC level qualification in Logistics, Production Planning, or a Business‑related field.
- 3–5 years in logistics or production planning, ideally within the automotive industry.
- Familiarity with SAP (MM and SD required, PP beneficial).
- Strong IT and data entry skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation capabilities.
- Understanding of logistics and production processes.
- Comfortable with fast‑paced environments and tight deadlines.
