An exciting opportunity has arisen at Broomgrove Trust Nursing Home for the position of Registered Nurse. This is a unique chance to work in a friendly and professional environment within our charitable organization. Our Clinical Nurse manager, Clinical Nurse lead, and the other nurses on duty are always available to help (on each shift there is a minimum of 2 nurses for our 40‑bed unit).
About You
- Registered General Nurse with a valid NMC pin (minimum 3 years experience)
- Strong clinical skills

- Drive and focus to provide excellent customer service and quality of care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience and an up to date understanding of care service practices, legislation, regulations and standards
Responsibilities
- Maintaining accurate, complete healthcare records and reports
- Administering medications to patients and monitoring them for side effects and reactions
- Prescribing assistive medical devices and related treatments
- Recording patient vital signs and medical information into the Predicaire system (electronically)
- Ordering medical diagnostic and clinical tests
- Monitoring, reporting, and recording symptoms or changes in patient conditions
- Administering non‑intravenous medications
- Assessing, implementing, planning, and evaluating patient nursing care plans by working with the healthcare team members
- Modifying patient health treatment plans as indicated by patient conditions and responses
Hours
Day Nurse - Full time - 28 or 35 hours / 4 or 5 shifts per week (including weekends). There is flexibility offered to spread the hours through several days. Shift 7:30 - 15:00 or 14:30 - 22:00, or you can work what is called a double shift 7:30 - 22:00 (and enjoy more days off every week). Only 1 full time vacancy available (minimum 28 hours per week).
About Your Benefits
Salary - The rate of pay per hour now is £20.66 (Mon‑Fri) with a 20% enhancement at weekends £24.79. Bank holiday rate of pay will be £30.99 and Christmas day.
