Overview
Broomfield South SILC – Informal Teaching and Learning Group is seeking experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) for maternity leave positions starting 1 September 2026.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver personalised curriculum driven by EHCP outcomes for learners aged 2‑19 with complex communication needs.
- Facilitate learning through play, exploration and multi‑sensory experiences using an intensive interaction approach.
- Collaborate with Learning Support Assistants, Middle and Senior Leadership to support diverse pupil needs.
- Engage and manage behaviour to ensure inclusive learning environments.
Qualifications
- Teaching qualification and experience working with pupils with special educational needs including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC).
- Practical experience of delivering engaging learning experiences to encourage early communication skills.
- Knowledge of behaviour management strategies and inclusive teaching approaches.
- Higher expectations, commitment and enthusiasm for pupil development.
