Brookwood Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Visual Designer to join our client and support an exiting project for a full-time engagement from end of August to mid-October.
You will play a critical role in delivering a wide range of high-quality, branded design assets for a global media company.
Working closely with other designers, consultants, and the wider project team, you will transform written copy into clear, visually engaging, and brand-consistent content.
This is a fast-paced role that requires a flexible, detail-oriented designer who can confidently use tools like Figma, Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Google Slides. You’ll be expected to contribute creative thinking, collaborate openly, and show your work in progress as part of an iterative, team-driven design process.
Main responsibilities
- Collaborate with the project team to determine visual design needs and creative direction
- Translate briefs and copy into clear, aesthetically pleasing, and on-brand visual designs
- Design original graphics using brand-consistent colours, typography, and shapes
- Present complex information in a simple, structured, and visually intuitive way
- Submit concepts for feedback and revise in a timely and constructive manner
- Show work in progress regularly and explain design decisions clearly
- Collaborate openly with other designers and consultants to ensure brand cohesion
- Balance creative exploration with the discipline of brand guidelines and project requirements
- Remain flexible and available to work extended hours during high-priority deadlines
Skills and experience required
- Proven experience as a Visual or Graphic Designer with a comprehensive portfolio
- Strong creative thinking and ability to bring ideas to life visually
- Proficient in Figma and confident designing in Google Slides, Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign
- Ability to understand, distil, and visually translate complex information into simple, brand-relevant designs
- Comfortable designing from scratch, from interpreting copy, concepts or narratives to developing full visual concepts
- Ability to clearly explain design decisions and adapt based on feedback
- Skilled at working collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team
- Strong time management, organisational, and communication skills
- Experience working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines
- Willingness to share ideas, give and receive feedback, and iterate openly
- Able to record design project updates in Monday.com
