Overview
We are seeking an experienced Field Migration Engineer to support a large public-sector IT modernisation programme. The role focuses on migrating end-user laptops from a legacy SCCM and Office 2016 environment to a Modern Device Management model using Microsoft Endpoint Manager (MEM), Intune, and Office 365. This is a field-based position requiring daily travel between client sites across the Thames Valley area. A company vehicle and fuel expenses will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Migrate Windows laptops from SCCM to Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune)
- Support transition from Office 2016 to Office 365
- Perform on-site laptop refresh and device deployment activities
- Provide face-to-face support to end users during migration
- Troubleshoot device, policy, and application deployment issues
- Carry out device builds, swaps, and user data migration
- Work closely with technical teams to ensure smooth rollout delivery
- Maintain accurate rollout and asset records
Requirements
- Strong experience with Microsoft Endpoint Manager (MEM) / Intune
- Proven SCCM to Modern Device Management migration experience
- Solid knowledge of Windows 10/11 deployment and support
- Experience deploying and supporting Office 365
- Excellent customer-facing and troubleshooting skills
- Comfortable working independently across multiple sites
- Full UK driving licence
