We are seeking experienced Instructional Designers to support the design and development of a suite of online Master’s programmes. This is a flexible contract opportunity, ideal for freelancers looking to add additional project work alongside existing commitments.
Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with academic Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to shape course content.
  • Design and develop high-quality scripts and storyboards for online learning.
  • Work within established frameworks and processes to deliver engaging, structured course materials.
  • Apply instructional design best practices to create a clear, impactful learner journey.
  • Adapt to and adopt the client’s AI-supported development process (full training provided).

About You

  • Proven experience in instructional design, ideally within Higher Education or online postgraduate programmes.
  • Strong ability to collaborate with academics and SMEs.
  • Skilled in scriptwriting, storyboarding, and online course design.
  • Organised, adaptable, and comfortable working remotely.

Contract Details

  • Flexible hours: 10–30 hours per week
  • Remote contract role
  • £200 per day (pro rata)
  • Training provided in the client’s AI development process
