About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and professional HR Advisor to join our team. This is a dynamic opportunity to provide expert support and advice across a range of HR activities while contributing to the development and implementation of key HR policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead recruitment and selection processes, including advertising, attending job fairs, and conducting interviews
  • Provide sound HR advice to departmental teams
  • Manage employee lifecycle tasks such as onboarding, changes to contracts, and leaver processes
  • Advise on and manage disciplinary and grievance matters
  • Monitor and manage staff absence
  • Support employee engagement initiatives, including the annual staff survey
  • Oversee staff inductions and ensure compliance with legal requirements (e.g., right to work, young worker protection)
  • Maintain and update job descriptions and manage company benefits
  • Assist with training and development programmes
  • Ensure compliance with maternity, paternity, and parental leave procedures
  • Attend internal and external meetings, training, and represent the HR department as needed
  • Promote and adhere to Health & Safety, data protection, and company policies

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience in a generalist HR role
  • Part CIPD qualified (or working towards)
  • Up-to-date knowledge of employment law
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
  • Assertive, diplomatic, and proactive approach to problem-solving
