Audio Visual Project Consulting Manager £70,000 - £80,000 plus car allowance United Kingdom Brookwood are pleased to be back working with this leading developer and manufacturer of professional AV hardware and software solutions Audio, Network , Control, Video The Project Consulting Manager is a senior engineering position within the Business Development team. This is both a pre-sales and post-sales role, involving the provision of technical support to new and existing customers. Responsibilities include creating system designs, delivering training, presenting technical solutions, supporting projects, and offering expert assistance as required. The Project Consulting Manager is responsible for building relationships with: AV Consultants, M&E Consultants, and Architects to identify projects and opportunities. High-profile end-users, key Tier 1 system integrators, and specialist integrators. The role requires regular travel, including occasional overnight stays for business trips within the UK and, occasionally, internationally. Key Activities Include: Developing and maintaining strong relationships with consultants, end-users, and integrators. Providing training on relevant technologies and solutions, both in-person and online. Promoting and demonstrating products and solutions to stakeholders. Creating and reviewing system designs, and conducting technical validations of large projects. Collaborating with Business Development and Reseller Sales teams to identify and support technical opportunities. The Project Consulting Manager will: Assist with complex design requests and customer requirements as directed by the Business Development Director, Technical Services Director, and regional teams. Coordinate with international business development and consultant support teams for cross-regional projects. Main Responsibilities: Maintain regular contact and develop strong relationships with AV and M&E consultants, and key end-users, alongside other team members. Engage with end-users throughout the project lifecycle (pre- and post-sales). Work closely with other technical managers to support consultants with project and tender requirements. Conduct technology and product demonstrations on-site. Deliver training sessions on current and emerging solutions. Support complex system designs and customer needs as requested by leadership and technical teams. Verify that systems are commissioned and installed according to specifications. Build and maintain partnerships with vertical market integrators (e.g., Government, Defence, Healthcare), and keep them informed of new technologies and their benefits. Provide on-site troubleshooting in collaboration with resellers, as requested by engineering or technical services teams. Report feedback and product enhancement requests to the Product Development team based on market needs. Support tradeshows, exhibitions, training events, and other industry-related activities as needed. Secondary Responsibilities: Perform all functions expected of a senior Applications Engineer. Maintain instructor-level certification in all relevant training content. Initiate intervention for escalated troubleshooting, return authorizations, or driver-related issues. Stay certified in all relevant product areas, test equipment, and technologies as per the organization\'s standards. Required Skillset: Strong practical AV experience, including system design, programming, and commissioning. Proven experience delivering technical training. Excellent communication and writing skills. Confident presentation skills suitable for audiences of various sizes. High attention to detail, well-organized, and proficient with computers and business tools.
