Contract Duration: until initially, with a view to extending further once the 2026 budget has been released– 40 hours per week – up to £50 per hour INSIDE IR35, 37.5 hours per week, hybrid: 2 days per week in the Manchester office
About the Role
We\’re looking for an experienced
Regional Manager of Finance Operations
to lead our Accounts Payable (AP) function across the region. This role plays a pivotal part in ensuring financial accuracy, operational efficiency, and compliance with regulatory standards. You\’ll oversee end-to-end AP processes, lead a skilled finance team, and collaborate closely with senior stakeholders and cross-functional partners to drive excellence in financial operations.
What You\’ll Be Doing
- Oversee the full accounts payable lifecycle — from invoice receipt and verification through to payment processing and reconciliation.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of Accounts Payable Specialists, fostering a culture of accountability and growth.
- Design, implement, and refine AP policies and procedures to ensure efficiency, consistency, and compliance.
- Manage vendor relationships, ensuring timely and accurate payments while proactively resolving any discrepancies.
- Collaborate with key internal departments (such as Procurement and Operations) to streamline payment processes and improve collaboration.
- Maintain strong working knowledge of financial regulations, ensuring all activities comply with company and statutory requirements.
- Identify opportunities for process automation and introduce technologies to strengthen the AP function.
- Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, providing insights that support regional and strategic decision-making.
- Partner with regional and global finance teams to ensure alignment, standardization, and continuous improvement.
About You

What you\’ll bring:
- Bachelor\’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5–8 years of experience in finance operations, with advanced knowledge of accounts payable processes.
- Proven experience leading and developing teams in a dynamic environment.
- Proficiency with accounting systems such as
SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite
, and advanced
Microsoft Excel
skills. - Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial compliance standards.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a process improvement mindset.
