Our Coventry office (CV5) is easily accessible by car and an 8-minute walk from the nearest train station. We offer hybrid working, with a minimum requirement of 2 days in the office and the flexibility to work from home the rest of the week. During an initial training period, you'll be in the office full-time for team integration and peer training.

This role would be well suited to an experienced Protection Advisor, or to someone from a sales or recruitment background who is looking to transition into a new career and complete the RO1 qualification.

What will you be doing as a Protection Advisor?

  • Reporting to the Mortgage & Protection Manager, the Protection Advisor will actively liaise with members of the Brookson Financial business line based in various locations in the UK and other Brookson departments.
  • Deliver Financial Wellbeing Reviews to new and existing customers.
  • Advise clients on protection requirements and provide recommendations.
  • Build and maintain long-term client relationships.
  • Proactively contact clients to promote financial services and encourage engagement.
  • Research and stay updated on protection products and providers to meet client needs.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including disclosure and product cost information.
  • Stay informed on legislation changes affecting the Freelance Contractor and Interim Manager sectors.
  • Take ownership of finding solutions for clients, collaborating with internal departments.
  • Support and train new team members, including Advisers, Administrators, and Assistants.
  • Assist the Mortgage & Protection Manager with MI and meet KPIs/objectives.
  • Perform any other duties to support the Company.

What are the qualities that can help you thrive as a Protection Advisor?

  • Essential experience: Keen to study the RO1 qualification, if you don’t already hold this; High level of numeracy skills; Excellent oral, written and listening skills; Strong organisational skills and the ability to efficiently prioritise workloads.
  • Desirable experience: Previous experience of working within a compliance regulated industry; R01 and R05 qualified.

  • Salary of up to £30,000, depending on experience.
