We have an exciting opportunity for a Lecturer in Games Development to join our team at Loughborough College Group, based at Loughborough College.

We are looking to appoint a Games Lecturer to deliver on BTEC Level 2, 3, and 4 and the AIM Level 3 programmes and manage our vocational games studio.

The team are looking for someone with practical hands-on experience, who is proactive, has a vibrant personality and is committed to providing high quality learning experiences.

This role will be a combination of a 0.6 role for further education and a 0.4 role for higher education.

Responsibilities of this role include;

  • Teach on the Level 2, 3, and 4 Games programmes as and when required
  • To engage with the employability team and with external companies to obtain relevant industry placement
  • Monitor progress of learners
  • To devise appropriate assessments and assessment strategies and feedback to students through a variety of formative and summative assessment methods
  • What we are looking for;
  • Ability to work effectively in team and autonomously
  • Practical experience for 3D modelling and animation (preferably in blender)
  • Knowledge and experience of creating game assets, animating for TV & Film as well as VFX
  • Experience in teaching is desired but not essential
