We are now looking for an experienced and positive Class 2 HGV Driver to join our team based in Halstead, Essex.

The Role

  • Delivering and collecting goods as part of a UK distribution operation
  • Loading vehicles to match the order of delivery drop-off points
  • Planning and driving routes to ensure on-time deliveries
  • Unloading goods and obtaining proof of delivery signatures
  • Issuing invoices and accurately updating delivery, vehicle, and drivers' hours records
  • Recording mileage and fuel usage

This role involves 2–3 nights out per week. The position is based on a 48-hour working week, with overtime expected.

About You

We are looking for a professional driver who takes pride in their work and strives to deliver a first-class transport service. You must have:

  • A current Class 2 (Category C) HGV licence
  • A valid Digital Tachograph card
  • A Driver CPC card
  • Previous Class 2 driving experience (essential)
  • A positive, efficient, and self-motivated attitude
  • Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently
