The Role: Head of eCommerce
Salary: Up to £100k
Location: West London (with 3 days per week in the office)
Reports To: Chief Commercial Officer
A luxury retailer is seeking a strategic, innovative, and results-driven Head of eCommerce to lead their digital future. With over 70% of their sales transacted online, they are on a mission to drive growth, enhance the customer journey, and maximize online sales. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced eCommerce leader to take charge of a high-performing platform and make a significant impact on the retailer’s online presence.
The Head of eCommerce will be responsible for integrating digital and physical experiences, leading the eCommerce strategy, optimizing conversions, and overseeing the online brand experience. This role will involve working with internal teams and external partners to ensure a seamless customer journey across all digital touchpoints.
Key Responsibilities:
- Revenue Growth & Sales Management : Own digital sales targets, develop forecasts, monitor KPIs (traffic, conversions, sales), drive performance marketing, and track online revenue.
- Strategic Vision & Planning : Lead the development and execution of the eCommerce strategy, aligning it with business goals and pushing the boundaries of online retail in the premium market.
- User Experience Excellence : Oversee the digital experience plan, ensuring the website reflects the brand’s values and delivers an intuitive, seamless experience throughout the customer journey.
- Website Optimization & Development : Guide the roadmap for website enhancements, working closely with tech teams and external developers to ensure timely execution and budget adherence.
- Omni-Channel Synergy : Ensure a unified brand experience across physical stores and digital platforms for a seamless customer journey.
- Team Leadership & Growth : Lead a team of digital experts, including a Digital Experience Manager and User Experience Executive, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Collaboration Across Departments : Collaborate with Tech, Marketing, Creative, and Store teams to align customer touchpoints and work closely with external web development partners.
- Industry Trends & Innovation : Stay ahead of trends in eCommerce, digital marketing, and customer experience, ensuring the retailer’s online presence remains cutting-edge.
