Brooklyn Recruitment currently have an exciting role available in the Cannock area for a Buyer within the manufacturing sector. This role would suit someone with purchasing/buying experience within a manufacturing environment; electrical manufacturing would be ideal but isn’t essential.

This company has an excellent working environment with the building being light, bright and clean. You would be joining a 6 strong (growing) procurement team as a Buyer and a total workforce of around 200, but this company still has a family-friendly feel to it, where everyone is known by name and you even get your birthday off!

Responsibilities:
  • Establishing relationships with and negotiating with suppliers.
  • Negotiating freight costs.
  • Adhering to all buying procedures.
  • Establishing and updating safety stock levels against demand.
  • Working with LEAN manufacturing initiatives.
  • Escalating any supplier quality issues with the NCR team.
  • Ensuring all supplier payment terms are in line with the company standards.
  • Negotiating once quotes are received to ensure the best deals.
  • Rejecting/negotiating any price increases from suppliers.
  • Working with suppliers to ensure they deliver on time and in full.
  • Producing supplier reports and categorising them.
  • Other duties as required.
Working hours:

The working hours for this Senior Buyer’s role are excellent: Mon-Thurs 8am-5.15pm, Fri 8am-12pm.
