Group HR Manager – Group Human Resources Manager – Manufacturing – Staffordshire

Brooklyn Recruitment are currently working with a manufacturer of stainless steel and aluminium food, beverage and pharmaceutical products.

This company are based in the Burntwood area of Staffordshire, close to Lichfield, Cannock and Walsall.

They are looking for a Group HR Manager / Group Human Resources Manager to join their team.

You will be based form the head office but developing strategies and policies to roll out across all of the sites.

The other sites mainly manufacture stainless steel and aluminium products.

There are currently 12 sites within the group with around 450 employees in total.

As Group HR Manager / Group Human Resources Manager you will be

  • Developing and revising policies and processes.
  • Ensuring all policies and processes are adhered to.
  • Providing training to managers with regards to Human Resources.
  • Ensuring that UK legislation is adhered to.
  • Being involved in performance management procedures.
  • Continuously reviewing salary structures and rewards schemes.
  • Creating a culture of recognition.
  • Identifying areas of improvement within HR.
  • Succession planning.
  • Managing a team of 2 HR Assistants.
  • Advising and assisting managers with recruitment.
  • Preparing offer letters and contracts.
  • Coordinating new starters and chasing references.
  • Identifying any areas of training.
  • Devising on boarding programs for the sites.
  • Working with managers and department heads with regards to Human Resources issues.
  • Other duties as required.

As this is a Group HR Manager / Group Human Resources Manager although you will be based from the Burntwood site you would be required to occasionally visit the Groups other sites (most tasks can be undertaken remotely).

Most of these visits should be able to be completed in a day but overnight stays may occasionally be required.

To be suitable for this role of Group HR Manager / Group Human Resources Manager you should have previously held a similar Human Resources / HR role within a manufacturing environment.

You should be a great communicator and have good management skills.

You should also hold a CIPD qualification.

The working hours for this position of Group HR Manager / Group Human Resources Manager are Mon – Thurs 8.30am -5pm, Fri 8.30am – 2pm.
