The Role
As Café Cook, you’ll be at the heart of our food operation - preparing and delivering high-quality dishes in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. You’ll work primarily in our café, ensuring food is consistently well‑prepared, efficiently served, and aligned with our high standards of quality and hygiene.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook fresh food for our café and busy event days
- Deliver a simple, quality-led menu efficiently during peak periods
- Maintain a clean, safe, and well‑organised kitchen
- Support stock control, ordering and minimising food waste
- Ensure all allergen and food safety standards are met
- Work closely with the Café Manager on daily menus and operations
- Contribute to a positive team environment and great visitor experience
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in a fast‑paced kitchen or café environment
- Strong understanding of food hygiene and kitchen standards
- Ability to stay calm and organised under pressure
- A proactive, team‑focused attitude
- Attention to detail and pride in food quality and presentation
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays
Qualifications
- Food Safety Level 2 (minimum) required
- Food Safety Level 3 (desirable)
